We work in partnership with community and voluntary organisations to deliver programmes in informal settings close to where you live. Courses are designed around the needs of local groups and can be scheduled throughout the year.

Whether you are looking to pick up a new hobby or gain a recognised qualification, we have something for everyone. Our accredited options include Essential Skills in English, Maths, and ICT, vital for improving your everyday skills and enhancing your career prospects. With the support of our qualified lecturers, you can progress from Level 1 to Level 2, a standard widely accepted by employers and further education providers.

Returning to study in a local setting can assist you to:

  • Gain qualifications missed out on first time round
  • Achieve skills and qualifications to enhance career prospects
  • Develop new leisure interests


We also work in partnership with local community groups to deliver lifelong learning opportunities within Neighbourhood Renewal Areas across:

  • Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council
  • Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council
  • Mid and East Antrim Borough Council

Funded by the Department for Communities, the CALL Project offers a variety of free and engaging activities to support learning within Neighbourhood Renewal Areas in Ballyclare and Ballymena (including Ballee, Ballykeel, and Harryville).

The project is designed to meet the needs of young people aged 16+ through taster sessions and innovative learning opportunities. It also offers community classes for residents, covering topics such as:

 

  • Healthy eating
  • Internet basics
  • Arts and crafts

 

These sessions are shaped by the interests of the community and aim to make learning accessible and enjoyable for all.
