This course is fully funded by the Department for the Economy, under the Skill Up Programme. This course is a part of a suite of free online accredited courses that the College is offering to upskill, retrain and gain a qualification with no costs associated.

The objectives of the OCN NI Level 2 Award in Alcohol Awareness are to enable learners to: 

• be aware of alcohol unit strengths and safe limits
• recognise the possible causes of alcohol misuse and its effects on self and others
• understand the health issues associated with alcohol misuse 
• understand possible effects of alcohol withdrawal
• be aware of agencies offering help and information about alcohol misuse

• You must be at least 18 years of age.
• You must meet the Skill Up funding eligibility and the course entry requirements
• You will be required to have sufficient literacy and numeracy skills to enable them to successfully complete the qualification.
