The OCN NI Level 3 Award in Working with Children and Young People with Special Needs is designed to provide the practitioner with the skills and knowledge required to enable them to work effectively with children and young people with special needs

• Understand special needs. 
• Understand factors which affect learning. 
• Understand how to support individuals with special needs. 
• Understand the roles and responsibilities of professionals working in the special needs area. 
• Understand the principles and practice of advocacy.

• You must be at least 18 years of age.
• You must be a resident of Northern Ireland and eligible to work in the UK.
• You will be required to have sufficient literacy and numeracy skills to enable them to successfully complete the qualification.
