Biography

Konrad Buras, who recently graduated with Distinction, hadn't been in a classroom environment since his school days. Speaking about his time studying the Level 4 Higher National Certificate Konrad said, “The lecturers at the College are great and have an open-minded and individual approach to their students. They helped me realise that, even though I had left school 20 years ago, I could still do it. I was shown different ways to look at obstacles and how to overcome them. I am really grateful for how they go the extra mile to support their students to make sure that they get the most out of their time at the College.” 

He said part-time study and the qualifications he achieved was his progression pathway to university. Upon obtaining his HNC level 4 Konrad was accepted onto the Ulster University's BSc Hons Energy.

Having enjoyed his time as a part-time student at Northern Regional College, Konrad said he would have no hesitation encouraging others to apply.

“Going back to College as a mature student really boosted my confidence,” he said. “I enjoyed meeting the other students and working on the assignments".
